Beauty and the beast

A busy day at work today working in two different key stages. The advantage of spending the morning in Key Stage 1 was that my marking took me half the time that it normally takes so I was able to leave work earlier than normal. After nipping to the shops, I went home for a haircut. The weather was beautiful this afternoon so while the hairdresser cut the boys' hair, I sat in the garden catching the late afternoon rays.

When Rose, the hairdresser, had left, Chris and I popped to the local pond to take a few pictures before tea. I was hoping to get the heron that Chris had seen a couple of days ago but there was no sign of it.
