Blackie Sunbathing

Not that warm out today. We have had a really heavy shower this morning and then straight away after the rain, the sun burst out and it feels quite warm.
Lo and behold my favourite garden Blackbird " Blackie " decided to sunbathe at the edge of the lawn. He was doing this the other day, only in soil I had recently turned over.
I see from the RSPB book on birds that it is a common trait with Blacbirds. Probably to get as much sun to warm them up. So this is my blip for today, Blackie Sunbathing.
