D-HOOK - what a great registration ID on this Huey - one of two doing the heavy lifting of lime, fertiliser and seed for the Moors Restoration Project on top of Kinder Scout in the Peak District.

A beautifully sunny and clear day and almost warm at times so at last some of the migrant birds were seen.

The highlight was seeing a pair of Cuckoo flying below us making it easy to see the colour differences between the sexes.

Also first of the year spots for Flycatchers - several Pied Flycatchers singing ( at least 3 ) and one Spotted Flycatcher sitting quietly looking like it was resting up after a long trip from Africa - I suppose it really could have just arrived !
