Odd

When the challenge was set to take a wide angle shot with the theme being odd, it sounded simple.  I tried a couple of shots of things taken from odd angles and I did not like the result.  Then I remembered the odd thing I had in a draw.  Now for my challenge, can you tell me what it is, and how to use it.  I have tried and failed.  It is odd because I have no idea what inspired me to buy it in the first place.
