Alcatraz

Went on a sunset tour of Alcatraz tonight! It was fantastic! The audio tour was very informative and hearing the cell doors slam gives you such an eerie feeling!! The whole place has such a heavy atmosphere! This sign is the first thing you see when you step off the boat! The American Indians occupied Alcatraz as a protest in the late 1960's which lasted 19 months! They painted the sign that reads "Indians welcome on Indian land" I feel very fortunate being able to experience this place!
