Crutch class

Today I had to learn how to learn to use crutches. What!? I hear you say...anyone can use crutches- why would you need a lesson? Well, actually- it was very insightful. I went up steps- was taught different techniques and also had a break down of the hidden dangers in the home (wood floors, carpets, small dogs). Also was instructed to make easy meals and invest in a rucksack. 
Operation now seems slightly more real and more scary. Also found out that as its a meniscus repair (and not just a straight forward cut and clean out), that I have to be on these wretched things for 6 weeks. Unhappy face.
