The beauty of Costeño
This picture perfectly demonstrates why everyone loves Costeño. It's fun, chilled, situated right on the beach, with huge waves and surrounded by coconut trees, mango trees and watermelons have even been randomly found! It's basically just awesome, which is why this weekend I decided to get away and take the short 1 hour bus ride to this beautiful beach hideout.
Chez, Ellie, David, Seb and I headed to catch the bus at around midday and arrived at Costeño with plently of sunshine left. I spent the rest of the day chilling on the beach/in a hammock making bracelets, my new thing. It was perfect. We stayed on the beach and watched the sunset and the surfers come back until dinner was served up and announced by a large bell ringing. A nice homely pasta dish was served up for just under £3. Afterwards the rum was opened and we played some games including the one where you have the name of a famous person/character stuck on your head and have to ask yes/no questions to guess who it is. This game lasted the whole night, me and one other girl were the only ones to not guess our characters, never a good sign! Although Big Bird, really? I think I had a pretty hard one.
I headed to my hammock at around midnight, which is actually kind of late for Costeño and met my little crab friend who chilled beneath mine. I jumped into my hammock, surprisingly not too fazed by crabby friend, under the wonderfully bright moon-lit sky.
