Castle Hill

After last nights games night everyone was keen to go for a walk today so we headed up to Castle Hill. I wanted to take the track that looked a bit longer but wasn't as steep but no....lets go this way..straight up the middle, OMG i needed an iron lung by the time i got to the top (after many stops). We had to climb some of it on hands and knees because it was so steep.

For some reason when i told Diane it would be cold she thought it would be a good idea to wear 3 hoodies, trousers and shorts, needless to say she walked back down in shorts and t shirt, you would think after all these years of watching Bear Grylls she would have learned something

It was worth the effort once we got to the top. You can see the main road in the distance and if you look to the little square of trees on the right, that is the car park.

When we got back down we headed off to Flock Hill for lunch and as usual the food was fantastic. Its certainly been a fantastic family weekend.
