a life in photos

BIRD...

another bird photo, this time not a gull though - so some improvement there, however, still not as good as the gull shots, mainly because its the reflections and the water splashes that do it for me with those shots.

This is a wee wax eye, or silver eye - he'd been snacking quite happily on an apple - one of the last few hanging on our apple tree. I took quite a few photos of him standing on the rim of the apple, and popping his head an and out of the hole, however, I wasn't happy with them because there was a very pesky branch sticking out, and of course it kept getting in the way, and ruining the photo. So I tried to move around a little to get rid of that branch and of course Mr (or Mrs) Bird decided that that was as close as I was allowed, and flitted off from the apple... he landed on the above branch and one snap was all I got before he took off altogether.

Funny.. this being the blip - I had conned Miss B and the ever present filmstar Larry, into another photo shoot - got some nice ones too, more smile from Miss B than the last ones I took, but the wee bird has won the day for blip.
