Salt

And today at college we are finally getting to do salt prints! We were waiting for ammonia, you can't buy it in Boots as they're worried you might make a bomb, but good old Amazon came up trumps.
We soaked the paper in a salt solution and dried it,  then made up a silver solution. Had to add the ammonia until it went black,  then keep adding it until it went clear again (all by safelight, which was a bit tricky). This solution was then used to coat the paper,  and we put our acetates on top and waited for the UV to do its stuff before fixing and washing the image.
