Trouble in the neighborhood

When I pulled up to the pond to see what the blue heron and osprey were up to, I was surprised to see a struggle going on.
I don't know what started it, but the osprey was diving down on top of the heron, over and over again.  There was a lot of squealing going on. The osprey would circle high above the heron nest, and then come straight down to the heron, trying to hit him.  There was another heron on a tree nearby, and the osprey went after him too! I was trying to get these shots, and at the same time, trying to do a video, but that didn't come out well.
The osprey and the blue heron have been neighbors all these years, seeming to be content.  Maybe the osprey felt the heron was a threat to their nest!
