Roland

I have photographed this man before, a couple of years ago when I first met him. In fact he approached me first while I was taking some floral shots in Forbury Gardens.
Fast forward to nowadays, Roland is a good friend of mine. Few people, if any, would ask themselves who's been landscaping Forbury Gardens for over 20 years now... Roland is the quiet type who would never seek recognition and only if you look, you'd see him raking leaves, planting bulbs or cutting grass in a corner of the park,...
He paints too. Today I took a series of photos intended to create a portfolio for a pending exhibition of local artists where Roland will put his canvases on display. First time ever for him.
