Turkish Bowl

This is one of two bowls we bought in a pottery near Ephesus. The clay is very fine, it's made from crushed quartz so is also very strong. Decoration is done individually by hand, this is one of their Ottoman designs. The glazes are all made from gemstones and other minerals so are also very strong and resistant tocwater, in fact they are guaranteed dishwasher safe.
The bowls came from a pottery supported by the EU and are packaged instore and guaranteed to reach home safely. Sadly this one did not, it has a chip on the rim. We've contacted the pottery to ask for a replacement or refund under the packaging guarantee But so far we have had no response. Here's hoping!
