Breakfast with My Baby

On Mother's Day, we
enjoyed an early breakfast
at our favourite spot

Kid #1 is now in Thailand touring with a friend. Happy Mother's Day wishes arrived from her via Facebook. 

Kid #2, who remained at home, took me out for breakfast at our local diner. She had the goo - strawberries, whipped cream. I had the scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast. She has tea, I have coffee. It was a leisurely treat with quiet conversation. We followed up with a trip to our local book store. 

I topped that with a little nap in my recliner in the afternoon. Now I have an entire evening ahead to call my own!
