The tree is a sycamore, the lines are the East Coast Mainline, the hills are the foothills of the Lammermuirs and the cloud just blew in.

We are going to a meeting on Thursday to try to stop the builders moving in and putting a hundred or so Wimpey houses here.

I realised today that the problems I have been having with focus (in photographs, although in general as well) are not down to me but to the fact that the insides of my camera are not lined up properly! The beautiful Euphemia has told me that if I let her have a kitten she will let me have a Nikon D3200, as long as I sell this Sony a300 and all the lenses and give her the money...

...a Kitten, though. Hhmmm!
