A cheat because although the photo was taken on 10th May, it was 1975 and not 2015.

Our 40th wedding anniversary, and due to the family crisis that was only resolved this week we had not planned anything in case no one felt like celebrating. So, we spent a quiet day visiting our new home where the lovely couple we are buying from offered us some of the furniture they are not taking with them. Quite handy really, they currently have wardrobes and chests in the bedrooms and are moving to a house that has fitted bedrooms. We are moving from fitted cupboards, so are grateful to have the bedroom furniture for a good price. Ditto washing machine, cooker and dishwasher.

We had lunch out at an Italian restaurant in New Romney, popped into see son and granddaughters on the way home and now chilling with wine, cheese and the BAFTAS.
