Hop-a-long

While I was deciding where to get the best view of the avenue of cherry trees in Huggate this little fella emerged from the winter wheat and sat on the 10ft in front of me!

Hare numbers are increasing, now that that they are protected during the breeding season and can often be seen running in the distance but it is a rare treat to see one so close and to be able to get a single shot before he literally hared off!!
