The Fred Whitton Challenge is a 112 mile cycle event which takes the riders over 6 Lakeland passes.

They go through Ambleside near the start and finish of the race. It was too dull and damp for me to venture out before 8 am so I walked to Rydal in the aftenoon and along the Under Loughrigg road where this shot was taken. 

I've included an extra which is my best yet attempt at panning.
