Norwegian

Not the best shot of the day but I liked the cartoon hand top-right; it's the indicator board used to show where the next train at this platform is heading.

The engine is called "Norwegian" because that describes its provenance; it was built in Sweden for the Norwegian State Railway in 1919. Here she's pulling the Wealden Pullman - a train full of diners enjoying Sunday lunch as the Kent and Sussex countryside slides past their windows. If they look out to the left as they cross the level-crossing they will see more than 20 swans (and a couple of egrets) enjoying the marshy land. They might also have seen some of the wild boars which live in woodland along the track. They can't have missed the glorious sight of fields glowing yellow as the oilseed rape flowers.

My first steam train blip in forever!
