Music is good for the soul
Here's my friend Shelly Telly, who asked me to go along to take some photos of a singing workshop led by Kirsty Martin in preparation for forming a big choir to sing at Norwich Pride 2015. This was a paid photo shoot and a selection of the images will appear as part of the promotional materials, which is nice.
I spent an hour taking pics and got some lovely shots which I believe captured the joy which singing brings. It also made my heart feel a bit lighter seeing people I've not seen for a while.
Something else which I found uplifting was this piece from the Disabled People Against the Cuts newsletter.
I then popped in to DandiFest to take down the photos that I had on display there as it's the last day of DandiFest 2015, then at 4pm it was our final run-through of the Voice Project Astronomy Choir performance of 'The Observatory'.
This was followed by two performances - at 9pm and 11.30 pm. Both were well received by the audiences and the final song was performed outdoors near the woodland by the Sainsbury Centre. The stars were out and it didn't rain. Absolutely magical. Unfortunately after such a packed and emotional week I feel too nackered to do the 9pm show on Sunday evening as I'm back at work on Monday.
