70th Liberation Celebrations

What a lovely day! We packed the car with picnic food and flasks and went out for the day. Sadly I wasn't able to go into town because of my foot [will it ever get better!!] but we stopped along the route of part of the Cavalcade, it was so good. Lots of people I believe from all over the world came to support us and take part in it all too.
Later we drove all around the town as the town front was closed we sat at the harbour and had our picnic tea, then we did the return journey and watched the fireworks display which was great too. I found there was a lovely atmosphere all day. I felt like Mrs HCB and was chatting to strangers and taking their photos.
