CAN YOU HEAR ME?

My Life's Journey project include tweets broadcast over the tannoy at railway stations. But as this actually wouldn't be allowed I've had to come up with a way of simulating this sound. Enter the megaphone!!

This could have been a solution. However as it's pretty much an antique, there is doubt that it even works. So the question is: Do I purchase the required 8 x "C" batteries to try it out?
