Cross Country

The annual event that many students say they hate but then feel very proud when they complete it or reach their goals.  

Success comes at a price - in this case, the price of about 30 minutes of relative pain.  Nothing, I guess, compared to the pains many will suffer later in life.  They don't know this yet, and no amount of any adult telling them will have them realise it until they themselves realise it.  

Wouldn't it be something to live life backwards so that we 'get' these lessons when they present.

So for now, we just keep on challenging, encouraging and having fun in the hope that just a few more are able to join the dots a little bit earlier and 'get' it sooner.
