King Carp

Charmaine and Ronnie took us out to do some fishing today, Anrie and Ronnie jr  went fishing with friends last weekend and they loved it, so we decided to treat them to an outing today. We unfortuantely had quite a serious cold spell last night an the shallow waters cooled down substantially, which resulted in the four of them catching nothing for the day, what a disappointment! The two young guys next to us caught this beauty though, because they had a little canoo with which they took their bait deep into the dam, where the water is about 30mt deep, and of course quite a bit warmer. They explained to me that this is not your ordinary carp, the bigger scales indicates that it is a King Carp. They caught a bigger one earlier, but I didn't ask to snap it, but I heard them saying it weighs 5.5kg, that was quite a biggie!
