A soggy tit
Spent a few hours down the Newport wetlands today, it rained on and off for most of the time. But feeling the wind and rain on your face is quite liberating.
Wooly also tagged along and asked my good lady wife to take his pic. We also saw foxy loxy, but she was too cunning for me to take a close up. After strolling though the woods we ended up in the hide where many people were sheltering from the rain. There were a few swans and duck on the water but i liked watching the soggy tits go back and fore the tree near the hide. There was obviously a nest in there as you can see he was bringing back bugs for afternoon tea.
After sitting for a while we braved the torrential rain and high winds (light rain and not much wind, but it sounds good) and walked back to the visitor centre. On the way we saw this bird of prey but not sure which make and model it is. You can see more of the wings here. Nearly back i thought i would take my last duck pic of the day, as i was just getting into position when they decided to take off, but did manage to get this and this, again I'm not sure what type of ducks these are.
It was then time to go buy some bird food and head off home.
