Jubilee

To be honest for me most of this fuss about the Jubilee is quite a big yawn. Certainly no street parties in this area as far as I know. But seeing the boats on the Thames on TV it's hard not to feel some emotion. And I think we have every reason to feel proud of our Queen. IMHO she has a strong sense of duty to her country and has served us well. Her heir, Prince Charles, ditto. The alternative - a republic with a President - would be horrendous. Just think of Anthony Blair in the presidential palace with Cherie as First Lady. The cost would be equivalent to several kingdoms. Anyway the image shows the stamps from the Coronation and the Silver Jubilee. I see the highest value of the Coronation set is 1/6 which I think equates to 7.5p So I wish Her Majesty well and raise my glass to her.
