A work in progress

The girl child offered to cook lunch today - pasta and a spicy tomato sauce. When she made her kind offer, we didn't realise she meant to cook the pasta from scratch.

It was her first attempt, and it's fair to say there were a few twists and turns along the road. The initial kneading of the dough proved a little premature, as you can see from the pic. But by the time she'd added about a kilo more flour, things were looking more pasta-like.

All-in-all, it turned out to be a pretty good first effort. It's no bad thing having a daughter who likes to cook and bake...
