Reading Chaucer

One of my annual treats this afternoon, Philip Jackson's Open Day for his garden and statues. The garden is recently tidied up and there are more of his statues there. This is Reading Chaucer, 71ins high in bronze by the side of the lake where the front of the house overlooks. I would love to look out on this.

The charities are South Downs Preservation and Canine Partners who train helping dogs locally. Its a great day out for £2, including expert plant advice, and plant sales, Philip Jackson wandering round giving impromptu talks, delicious teas, and of course all the amazing sculptures to get up close to. Magic.
