It's a beautiful day (for now)

The tide was out and so was the sun. The forecast is for rain later. We elected to take a walk before breakfast and took the dogs out to Cata Sand. Poor Suzie can scarcely make it out and back again these days so we short-cut across the wet bit bits on the way back to the land rover.

Stopped at the Community shop for bread rolls (because I never got around to baking yesterday), and then made bacon butties for a late breakfast when we got home.

I have some haggis-stuffed beef olives cooking on a bed of vegetables  in a red wine stock in the simmering oven. They should be fabulous in four hours' time. We shall be cracking MUMS puzzles in the interim... at the  kitchen table. In the warm kitchen.

I still have not tested the bread-making capability of my new ovens. Maybe tomorrow.
