Today was my first platform duty of this year at Wootton Station at one end of the line so this had to be todays Blip.

It has been a proud day for the Railway and all the volunteers as it was announced that we had been awarded 'The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2012,' the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary groups. The formal announcement states 'that the Award is in recognition of the work, efforts and achievements made possible by the many volunteers.'
Needless to say a big party will ensue.
