A long steady drive. We were up at six thirty and on the ferry a couple of hours later. After a  calm crossing, we arrived in Oban just after nine and set off in the direction of Loch Lomond - taking the high road!
It was a long and steady drive with a couple of short breaks, arriving home just as it was getting dark. 


We were struck but how much milder it is here down in East Anglia. 
How everything in the garden has grown! But it is taking time to adjust - missing the beautiful spaciousness of the western isles, the blues and greys.
