Country of Many Colours

Post-election and half the country is in a depression, the reds, and especially the orange lot, whilst the upper-part of the UK, the yellows, are ecstatic, even though they ended up on the opposition benches. I guess the blues are quite happy too, all I can think is proportional representation, if ever introduced, is a two edged sword, and although it may have meant the greens getting another seat, it would also have helped the purple lot.

So we managed to stay up until two thirty’ish, switching between serious BBC and not so serious Channel 4, and, feeling slightly uneasy about the exit poll, went to bed.  I checked again at five thirty when I woke up, and covered my head in the duvet until seven thirty when I went downstairs.  Ann was already in front of the TV and the news was as bad as we expected.

Hey, hum, life goes on, only another five years before the next one.

So we're in Nero now, where else? I took these photos in the front garden before we set off, non-political representation colours (though there is quite a bit of green to the fore)!

Happy flowerFriday, enjoy the weekend.
