Because we set off in the general direction of Buttermere, via Whinlatter, with Turkish Delight Ice-cream in mind. Rannerdale was voted against on grounds that every Blipper & his/her dog seems to infest Rannerdale Knotts around now.
Here we have another fortuitous accident, shot this morning.
Down there>>>------> we have an example of what we saw a surfeit of as we traveled west. I'm not sure, but I THINK I saw one which looked like a farmer's barn en route through one small place with nowhere to easily stop or that would have been it.
