Iris I'd seen that smudge on the lens earlier...

Apologies for the bad pun! Si and I just went to visit our chums Ed and Caroline, and I had several pics to choose from: this (taken on their allotment); a nice scenic shot of the countryside; a dead and decaying fledgling blackbird; a shot of the cream tea we enjoyed this afternoon.

I do like taking pics of dead and decaying things, but in this case the iris won out. Sadly, I only just noticed a blob of goop (possibly spilled lemonade) on the lens that has made a blurry patch on the pic - d'oh! Time to bring out the lens tissues and the methanol...
