Nope its not a erupting volcano?..this is my first

I have gooseberries in my new garden and have very little knowledge of them until I came across a recipe for jam. Not having quite enough, I decided to add the strawberries that we have not eaten.
I have decided that these will be labelled up as Jubilee Jam and kept for Christmas gifts. I have also decided that I am going to try and make all my gifts for this Christmas using bits and bobs from my garden....I have lavender growing, so I might just try and make soap with that......but who's thinking of Christmas in June?!
