One year, 5 months and 6 days ago...

...my spinal cord decided to pop out of my spinal column and cause me some grief. After 11 months of agony, 2 nerve blocks and shed loads of mind altering drugs, I had surgery to slice off the offending lump of tissue and relieve the pressure on my sciatic nerve. During the following 6 months I have built up my mobility and excersize with the aim to get back to my beloved Sally Step classes! I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do the Monday Madness class but tonight I managed my first 50 minutes of Step. OK - I didn't do the 'wiggle repeater' or the 'quick step' but the 'knee', 'curl' and 'basic' were like old friends and I even managed a 'straddle' and a 'cha, cha, cha'!
