Maternity Ward

I got quite a surprise this morning while I was out wandering in the garden.  I noticed a very messy looking nest in one of the rhododendron bushes next to the front door, and thought it was an old one from last year, because it wasn't very well hidden.  When I got up close to it, I was astonished to find Mrs. Robin hunkered down on top of the nest, busily incubating her eggs!  No doubt she was considerably more startled than I ... I snapped a quick picture, apologized, and crept away.
