Back to the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge
For the first time ever, we took a canoe trip around the refuge. It was amazing!!! I felt the stress melt away from me as we quietly paddled around the majestic cypress trees. Their reflections were so sharp, they created an optic illusion of being solid. The water line looked as if it were drawn with a sharp pencil. We heard many birds and saw egrets flying above us, carrying twigs in their beaks, presumably for their nests. We saw an alligator or two, but only in a great distance, which suits me just fine, thank you very much.
I am looking forward to going back, but only on a cool day like today.
A backblip precedes this entry.
