on the right lines

Ten minutes walk to the middle of York and the same to the countryside in the other direction from where I live. This section of the York-Scarborough line is only a matter of a few hundred yards from where I live, but looks like it could be in on the Moors. One thing I've learnt from my time with Blipfoto is that you don't have to go far for a photo. In the summer they often run steam engines on this line and I often hear the whistle from my house - a reminder of my early life when my father was station master at Burscough Bridge and we lived right next to the platform.
