Gentle Giants

Today started off blustery but sunny so I spent the morning trying to gather up as many leaves off the lawn and drive as I could before mowing the grass. By the time I had finished mowing,  almost as many leaves had blown down again.
By sundown, the clouds had gathered and showers were  threatening. Hopefully the showers will turn into rain to keep the grass growing.
These trees are the oldest and tallest on the farm. They have watched over the events of every season for the past three generations of life on the farm. They have weathered massive storms and long summer droughts and still these old giants continue stand, towering above us.
