Filtering

 
I think all of the forces in the universe converged to make this the most stressful day of my entire life. There were two highlights of this day; 1) building a natural filter for the pond in the greenhouse and 2) the tacos Jones and I enjoyed for Cinco de Mayo. That garbage can that is not so well disguised there is our beta version-natural filter. Consists of rocks at the bottom, filter paper, sand at the top. The water goes in through the top and filters through the sand and rocks and leaves through a spigot at the bottom. We’ll see how it works, was fun to build. If it ends up working well they’ll be making it a more permanent and pretty fixture.
