Nesting
At the height of the heatwave, we sat having tea in the garden and a wave of organisation hit me. We had to get all the unfinished jobs done - there and then! Ben's Mum and Dad had already sorted out the dead grass and our sad planters - turning them into a blooming gorgeous display. So i ordered Ben about (nothing new there) so the washing line and birdbox were put up, lawn and flowers watered, rubbish cleared. It felt like an achievement!
That was the night that we noticed the first flower on the magnolia tree we had been bought as a wedding present by my best girls, the Newnham girlies.
It was also, later that night, when my waters broke.
