Not a Kingfisher

A walk in the rain to see a Kingfisher might have been a bit of a washout when none were spotted but the Moorhen and chicks brightened things up.

Then an unmistakeable shape cut through the grey skies - A Swift - my first of the year but not a total surprise as @TrevorKing66 tipped me off that he had seen 4 after his early rise for work this morning.

Returning home I then saw a Swift overhead from my own doorstep- I wonder if it followed me up the valley :-)
