Acid

Worked at home all day apart from a trip up the Walk to buy vegetables (successful) and look for a vacuum filter (foiled again). As I came back from the bus the dazzling young leaves on the maples stopped me in my tracks. There are not many building made of red brick in Edinburgh, but it doesn't half show up the acid-green nicely.
