Wheatear..

A dull wet day, so took this "lazy" shot through the window.. He wouldn't come this side of the Rylok fence for me though.. Love the colours on these birds, that chest can really glow in the right light. As they fly away, you see a flash of white feathers on the rump, giving them their local name of "White Ar$e"!!

Been out in the greenhouse potting on some courgette plants, done about 90 so far, with another 50 or so to do. I grow them for the flowers, and for courgettes. The hotel uses both.. The flowers, complete with a mini courgette, dipped in batter and deep fried for a few seconds.. Delicious..

Tanni disappeared for a while, and when I went looking for her, she came from N & A's direction, and had been rolling in manure. She was covered. After an initial washing with a hosepipe, we went down to the sea again for a proper wash!

Went down the hall, and set up the booths for the election tomorrow. Collected up the mouse traps, and cleaned the bait out, and put them into storage. Not caught anything for 5 or 6 weeks now..

Went into the hall loft to find the plastic ducks for a duck race on Gala day. Found 79, and a couple of chewed ones. Should be enough!..
