50 years apart

This past two days I was with a bunch of old blokes. However, when we were together initially we were not old blokes. In fact we were all 16 and 17 year old boys entering our RAF apprenticeship at RAF Cosford. Goodness knows what we thought we were letting ourselves in for, none of us had a clue if the truth were to be told. Shows the strength of the camaraderie in the forces that 50 years later we are gathering to commemorate the event.

One of my friends during this time was Gerry Dowden, he is now the Breakfast DJ on PBC (Panama Broadcasting) can you believe). Easter 1965 we both went to spend the long weekend with his father and this photograph was taken during that weekend. Tonight we were re-united after not seeing each other for 50 years!
