The Beautiful Side of Somewhere
I am not sure there is a more beautiful time of year than springtime at the Arboretum. Last week, I noted that the tulip display was just about getting ready to burst. And on this day, I went back, and found the display is pretty much at peak, right here, right NOW!
Every tulip is open, and round, like a perfect little cup. There are no closed buds. There are no tulips past their prime. Everything is perfection; and this may just be the best tulip display the Arboretum has ever had. Even better than last year's! (For comparison, see last year's tulip pics for May 14 and May 15.)
The song to accompany this bright and colorful tulip show is Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers, with The Beautiful Side of Somewhere. (And I am here to tell you that if you are looking for the beautiful side of somewhere, this is it! We've found it! Yeah, baby!)
