Poor starling, he was very wet.
Still there are advantages , I shortened a pair of trousers that have been waiting for some time  and I vacuumed in behind furniture, washed and changed sheets, washed and reproofed my winter jacket and baked 26 fairy cakes ready for the knitting ladies who will come this evening. I shall now go and have a coffee and maybe a fairy cake!
