What's the point?

"The Point" is one of the icons of Milton Keynes' history. Built in 1985, the centre housed a nightclub and the UK's first multiplex cinema.

Twenty two years on it is rather dilapidated and plans are afoot to replace it with a new development. Of course people are up in arms that it will be demolished. There's nothing like the threat of knocking down a building that no one has bothered about for years, to bring the masses together...
