"The Lost Bird Project" Passenger Pidgeon
I went to an amazing talk on Monday evening by Laura Erickson and Marie Read at Cornell's Sapsucker Woods Lab of Ornithology . Though it was dull evening and just starting to rain, I got this pic of the Passenger Pidgeon sculpture, just outside the entrance to the lab, before going into the talk. Apparently the sculpture is 'on loan' to the Lab of O - I'm not sure for how long. You can read about the sculptor and sculpture at the article below. It is a beautiful sculpture, so smooth and silky one wants to run a hand over it!
